A Cosmic Conglomerate
How life on earth is influenced by the movements of the Galaxy.
Astrology is an ancient practice that dates back to the Babylonian era and was then introduced to the Greeks in the 4th century B.C. Intellectuals of this time spent centuries monitoring the night sky. Information gathered was used to predict the weather, natural disasters and assist in agricultural practices. Eventually, the correlations between the activity of the planets and that of society became undeniable. The success that amounted from using astrology as a tool to decipher human behavior was what lead to kings and emperors seeking counsel from its practitioners.
The Sun is visible every day and every night, the moon. We are constantly reminded that the Sun influences growth and the Moon controls the tides. Symbolically, the Sun represents one’s ego and drive whereas the Moon reflects emotion. We take the opportunity to salute the planets that are not so obvious to the naked eye. Although these planets may not always be visible, ancient and modern day astrologists believe them to have distinctive (micro and macro) effects on everyday life on Earth.
